Invisible (2010)

Published on January 3, 2010 by in Store Music

This passionate, intense song about Missions/Outreach was written to remind us of what it means to reach the lost for Christ; designed as a solo with BGV or sung as a trio. The stark reality of how the lost feel/live in their ‘invisible’ world trying to get out, and how God is calling us to help them become visible. This is a must for all missions/evangelistic rallies. It gets the point across boldly and unashamedly. If you want a song that speaks the truth about how the lost feel, and what we as believers are called to do to reach them, this is it!

Words/music by Jim Lucas and Pam Zwally, c. 2010

HISTORY: originated with a song/poem by Pam Zwally with emphasis on Missions and Outreach. Show to me on April 27. The main focus of the text has been retained, though the original lyrics have been modified. This is a compelling song about reaching the lost, reaching the unlovely, reaching the vagabond, reaching those the Jesus came to reach, including those right beside us!!)

VERSE 1
A child is hungry, she’s fighting to survive.
Ev’ry day’s a struggle as they try to get by
Her mother tried hard to find work today, but tonight they’ll sleep out on the street
She’s just someone that we don’t see, yes, she’s someone that we don’t see

CHORUS 1
She doesn’t want to be invisible anymore.
She doesn’t want to be a burden to you
She doesn’t want to be afraid of the dark
But she could sure use our help; she could sure use our help

VERSE 2
He fought, and struggled, to keep our country free.
His mind relives the battles ev’ry single day
He wants the pain to stop and just go away, but tonight, he will wrestle in sleep.
He’s just someone that we don’t see, yes, he’s someone that we don’t see.

CHORUS 2
He doesn’t want to be invisible anymore.
He doesn’t want to be a burden to you
He doesn’t want to be afraid of the dark
But he could sure use our help; he could sure use our help

BRIDGE
Jesus came to save the world 2000 years ago, came to take our burdens away
We must look to our right. We must look to our left
And be Jesus to those who still can’t see

CHORUS 3
He doesn’t have to be invisible anymore;
Jesus is the Light of the world
Go and be His body tell the world of His love
They could sure use His truth.
They could sure use His truth
They don’t want to be invisible anymore.
They don’t want to be afraid of the dark.
